About the event
Flight 1695 — Cafe Mortel Airways
London · 24 October 2025
Step into an industrial London space reimagined as an aircraft cabin. Guests board as First Class or Economy — better seats, better wine, or not. Either way, the journey ends the same.
An immersive death-awareness dinner disguised as an airline experience — part satire, part ritual — exploring the theatre of travel as a metaphor for life’s final passage. Expect safety briefings, turbulence, and moments of reflection disguised as in-flight entertainment.
The evening features a three-course menu by chef Felix Reade, formerly of Lyle’s, St John, Auberge de Cassignoles, and La Mercerie, now creating culinary experiences for fashion and design brands.
Sound design by award-winning composer Liam Colomer transforms the space through the hum, calm, and chaos of flight.
Co-produced with Selfish Studio (Ash Halliburton), this one-night-only experience merges performance, food, and design into a collective contemplation of endings.
